Various community members promote literacy at Middle Earth by volunteering to read to the children, often on a regular basis. United Way's Success by 6, Norman Reads volunteer program is a valuable community outreach who brought Representative Wallace Collins, John Kunau and Teresa Collado to us on a regular basis. We are so grateful and the children love our readers!

On October 30, we held our 2nd. annual Family Fall Festival. Much fun was had by all! Thank you to all the families who attended, contributed to our themed basket Silent Auction and participated in our Scholastics Book Fair. It was quite a festive evening! Special thanks to the business students of IBSleepy from OU who helped to facilitate many of our classroom carnival booths. We couldn't have done it without them!!

In early October 2008, Middle Earth began an infant program serving children 3 months to 12 months. We are thrilled to have the Dreamers!

We participated in the United Way Day of Caring this year and were adopted by: Office Max and OG&E. All together there were about 30 volunteers with us for the entire day and they did tremendous work inside the building and on the playground. Thank you to our wonderful supporters!!!
