Each class will host a potluck dinner followed by dancing in the gym.  Alumni Parent and DJ extraordinaire, Byron Jackson, will fill the air with music for our dancing feet!  Come dressed in your whimsical attire, including fairy wings, to join in what is certain to be…a magical evening!

Be sure to sign up in your child’s classroom to bring a dish to share at the potluck!

The Family Leadership Committee will be hosting a Bake Sale during the dance.  The proceeds will go to providing lunch for our teachers during one of the two Professional Development Days in August when our teachers are preparing for the 2009-2010 school year.  So come prepared to shop and satisfy your sweet tooth!

Dear Middle Earth Families,

Some of you have contacted us about the recent media coverage concerning the swine flu outbreak.  Please be assured that we monitor the health of children at Middle Earth daily.

Our teachers do daily health checks of all the children in their classrooms and we notify parents immediately whenever there is a sick child.  We follow the Oklahoma Health Department guidelines for exclusion of ill children.  Our staff clean and disinfect equipment daily.  In addition, frequent hand washing is part of the class routine among all children and staff as is learning to “cover our coughs and sneezes”.

For your comfort and information, we have attached a Fact Sheet about Swine Flu.  You will also notice alcohol based hand sanitizers in the windows of each classroom and at the office counter.  Please feel free to use the hand sanitizers when entering and leaving the center. 

Should you have any concerns, please contact me, Judy, or Licia.  My door is always open and the health and safety of your child is of utmost importance to me.
