Swine Flu Information for Parents

Dear Middle Earth Families,

Some of you have contacted us about the recent media coverage concerning the swine flu outbreak. Please be assured that we monitor the health of children at Middle Earth daily.

Our teachers do daily health checks of all the children in their classrooms and we notify parents immediately whenever there is a sick child. We follow the Oklahoma Health Department guidelines for exclusion of ill children. Our staff clean and disinfect equipment daily. In addition, frequent hand washing is part of the class routine among all children and staff as is learning to “cover our coughs and sneezes”.

For your comfort and information, we have attached a Fact Sheet about Swine Flu. You will also notice alcohol based hand sanitizers in the windows of each classroom and at the office counter. Please feel free to use the hand sanitizers when entering and leaving the center.
